How do I communicate this benefit to my employees?
There are various methods such as group meetings, individual meetings, newsletter, payroll stuffers, posters, emails, mailings, and more. You may choose which methods will be used when you sign up for the program. Our experience shows that the better and more frequent the communication, the more employees participate, enhancing the value as an employee benefit.

Since your employees' insurance policies come do at various times of the year, even a group with thousands of employees is very manageable. Not all employees will respond at the same time.

Unlike plans offered directly by some insurance carriers, Arbor Advantage is available to employers of all sizes.
If I choose Payroll Deduction, what do I do if an employee leaves the company or misses time due to a short or long term disability?
The employer collects only what they are able to collect. If an employee leaves the company, the employee's policy is completely portable and direct bill arrangements are made by Arbor Advantage. The same is true when an employee is on short and long term disability. Bills will be sent directly to the employee until payroll deductions can resume.
Is there much administrative work involved with the Arbor Advantage Program if I choose Payroll Deduction?
Absolutely not! Since all questions must be directed to Arbor Advantage for service, all employee inquiries should not be an employer issue. Also, since this program is a voluntary, after tax benefit, there are no regulatory issues that arise as they do with other programs such as section 125, COBRA or ERISA.
Must I choose payroll deduction to take advantage of this benefit for my employees?
Not at all. If you have 100 employees or more, you are eligible for the payroll deduction plan. A large percentage of our existing Arbor Advantage clients choose not to payroll deduct.

All inquiries should be directed to Arbor Advantage .By law, only a licensed insurance representative can answer coverage questions. There is, also, no way an employer could know how the deduction amounts are calculated if the payroll deduction plan is chosen. Arbor Advantage will do everything to educate the employee not to contact the employer with these questions. However since these inquiries do happen occasionally, the employer will be provided with the service contact number to give to the employee.

Although it would be difficult to include the employer who is facilitating the plan (and accommodating payment of premium if payroll deduction is chosen) in these cases, a hold harmless agreement protects the employer from this potential exposure.
