the program
Exposure to respirable silica is frequently referred to as the next asbestos. OSHA has just lowered its Permissible Exposure Limit (PEL) by over 100 times due to the toxicological health effects and established a Respirable Crystalline Silica standard. This 4-hour seminar addresses OSHA’s new Construction respirable silica standard, 29 CFR 1926.1153 and reviews the scope of the standard, methods of compliance, hazard control and OSHA enforcement. Other related OSHA standards, such as Hazard Communication and Respiratory Protection will also be discussed. Persons attending will receive a student guide containing:
- Copy of the OSHA Construction Respirable Silica Standard
- OSHA Small Entity Compliance Guide
- Silica Tool Box Talk & Hazard Information Card
- Copy of the OSHA Respiratory Standard
Certificates of course completion will be provided.
