This Holiday Season, the Arbor staff is participating in a Food Drive for the Second Harvest Food Bank.
The Second Harvest Food Bank distributes food to the hungry through its more than 200 member agencies in Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton, Pike and Wayne counties. The food we collect will be distributed to member agencies that include emergency food pantries, shelters, soup kitchens, child care and senior centers and rehabilitation programs.
Our food drive is going to take place until December 16th, at which time we will deliver whatever we have collected to the food bank, just in time for the holidays! We’ve set a goal of 100 lbs. of food to collect as a team.
If you’d like to help us support this great cause, please drop off any donations to our office before December 16th.
Right now the food bank is looking for the following items:
- Cereal
- Peanut butter & jelly
- Tuna
- Rice
- Pasta
- Salt and sugar
- Canned vegetables
- Canned fruit
- Canned meat and stews
- Soup
- Diapers
- Laundry Detergent
- Personal care items (soap, toothpaste, shampoo, etc.)
